2008 Tampa Bay Walk Now For Autism Awards Ceremony

There was no shortage of excitement or laughs at the 2008 Tampa Bay Walk Now for Autism Awards Ceremony on April 1st at the Tampa IMPROV. Over 120 people celebrated a wonderful year and a wonderful walk. Teams, individuals, sponsors, and committee members received special recognition and team pictures from Walk Day.  Top fundraiser Sharon Genuardi, ‘Strivin’ for Stephen’ received two round trip airline tickets for her outstanding efforts. The evening ended in laughs when comedian David Glickman entertained the audience with heath care related humor. Special Thanks to David Glickman for donating his talent.

2008 Tampa Bay Walk Now Recap

It was a wonderfully soggy day in Tampa Bay on Saturday February 23, 2008 where the Tampa Bay Walk Now for Autism took over the Museum of Science and Industry. Over 2,600 walkers joined Congresswoman Kathy Castor, Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio, News Channel 8 Anchor Stacie Schaible, Ye Mystic Krewe of the Santa Margarita, and Geoffrey from Toys R Us in the 2nd Annual event. Families enjoyed a wonderful resource fair with 23 vendors with plenty of kids’ activities. It was a great day and the families had an entertaining time with face painters, snow cones, bounce houses, entertainment and more. So far, we have raised over $215,000, toward our $300,000 goal. Please send additional checks to 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 2250 Los Angeles, CA 90036. Make sure to include your supporter ID to insure your donation is credited properly.
