Congraulations Miami-Dade!

It was a picture perfect day in February when the Miami-Dade Walk Now for Autism made history when over 10,000 walkers on 499 walk teams raised over $532,500 so far with more expected for the mission of Autism Speaks. With Autism Speaks Co-Founders, Bob and Suzanne Wright by their sides Miami Walk Chairs Lola Reyes and Patricia Menendez-Cambo kicked off the walk along the beach. Huge thanks to the amazing Walk Committee and all the incredible volunteers for making this year’s walk the best yet. More about Walk Day.

Exciting News!

Autism Speaks continues to grow and expand, thanks to communities like Miami-Dade, raising money and awareness for our mission. As the organization grows so does our need for infrastructure to best support our volunteers who are working in their communities. To that end Autism Speaks will be opening a Miami office and hiring Miami-based staff to run both the Walk Now for Autism event as well as an Executive Director who will be charged with starting an Autism Speaks Chapter in Miami that will represent and expand the fundraising and programmatic activities of the organization. If you know of individuals who would be interested in learning more about the employment opportunities with Autism Speaks please contact
Pat DeSaules at pdesaules@autismspeaks.org .

Thank you Miami-Dade County for your support and commitment to Autism Speaks.
