It was a wonderfully soggy day in Tampa Bay on Saturday February 23, 2008 where the Tampa Bay Walk Now for Autism took over the Museum of Science and Industry. Over 2,600 walkers joined Congresswoman Kathy Castor, Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio, News Channel 8 Anchor Stacie Schaible, Ye Mystic Krewe of the Santa Margarita, and Geoffrey from Toys R Us in the 2nd Annual event. Families enjoyed a wonderful resource fair with 23 vendors with plenty of kids’ activities. It was a great day and the families had an entertaining time with face painters, snow cones, bounce houses, entertainment and more. So far, we have raised over $210,000 and the total is growing quickly.
