Congratulations Broward County!
We Did It!
The 8th Annual Broward County Walk Now for Autism took place under sunny skies on Saturday, April 12, on the Sherman Library Green at Nova Southeastern University. Over 5000 attendees enjoyed the day's activities; To date 263 teams, individuals, and sponsors will have raise more than $483,000! Special thanks to Walk Chair Dianne Orr and her amazing Walk Committee for their hard work and dedication to making this our best year yet. Read more about Walk Day or take a look at Broward Walk Day Photos and Walk Video.
We are so close to $500,000! Please help us get there? Did you find yourself running out of time before the walk to do those extra fundraising ideas? Do them now! Make it an annual event like The Walsh’s Pub Annual Golf Tournament. Huge thanks to Teri Walsh and her partner David Podolan of Walsh's Pub in Plantation for raising over $15,885 in their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament for Autism Speaks. Donations turned in by August 6, 2008 will count toward your team total for awards. Here are more creative ways to fundraise post-walk.
Reminder: To insure proper credit for you and your team please download and fill out the ‘Offline Donation Form” from your personal web page when sending in checks. Please send all checks to:
