I am doing this for my son and people who deal with autism. My son is not autistic but perhaps is on the autism spectrum. We are still trying to figure things out.
But I am also doing this for myself. I have been struggling with my weight my whole life. I know that I am a giving person and I have never been able to lose weight for me. So if I am able to change my mindset and lose weight by doing something for someone else maybe that will help.
I am dedicating myself to lose weight and collecting donations per pound that people would like to sponsor me. If you feel like you want to help and support me in this please let me know by supporting me through this walk. My goal is to lose at least 50 pounds by the time this walk happens. If you want to know how my progress is going. Please feel free to check out my blog

About Walk Now for Autism:
Walk Now for Autism, the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, is Autism Speaks'signature fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom. Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this successful grassroots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder.
