On Sunday, October 18th an estimated 10,000 enthusiastic, albeit wet and chilly, walkers splashed through a soggy track at Suffolk Downs Racetrack for the 2009 Greater Boston Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Clothes may have been dampened by the weather but not the spirits of those who pressed into the wind and rain with enthusiasm and warmth.

So far we have raised more than $865,000 for research, advocacy and family services!  The donations brought to the event should appear on the Walk website within the next few weeks.  And we continue to fundraise until the end of the year - so let's watch those totals climb!  Please CLICK HERE for important post-walk information and announcements!
    

 

A new study published October 5, 2009 in the American Academy of Pediatrics' journal Pediatrics found a parent-reported autism prevalence rate of one in every 91 American children, including one in 58 boys.  For more information, click here.
