Our youngest son Chris, now 17, was diagnosed with high-functioning autism almost 12 years ago. We are so blessed to have been able to create a treatment process early in his life that has dramatically improved the outlook for today and the future.
We ask ourselves everyday, what happened – what caused Chris’ disorder. There are so many theories about what causes autism. From vaccination to genetics to environmental influences – there are too many questions that remain unanswered.
What does the future hold? We don’t know. We hope and pray that Chris will continue to develop, and we work hard every day to make his life as enriching and as “normal” as possible. Can we find the cure? Can we correct this disorder? We don’t know.
We have decided to dedicate our time to engage our family, friends and the community to assist us in raising awareness, raising funds for research, and most importantly, raising these impacted kids and their families up. We need to discover the causes and work towards eliminating the disorder all together.
Please join us in raising funds, volunteering or becoming a team member. With your participation and support, we can help others.
