Join me in my efforts to support Walk Now for Autism
Last year we attended the Walk Now for Autism event for the first time. As we arrived and registered our team, I was struck by the realization that I was not alone...I was surrounded and embraced by hundreds of parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends, not overwhelmed with sorrow, but empowered by hope and solidarity.
Each of us on a different journey but all brought together to celebrate our children and families. For the first time since the diagnosis I felt that I was doing something with all that fear and pain, something that would move me forward and into an area of empowerment and hope for the future.
