Ryan -- looking good

“Your child has autism.”

These four simple words define the facts. They are useful in explaining the past but they do not predict the future. They do not convey the toll that autism has had on our family nor limit our determinedness to overcome this disorder. They are words that a new family will hear every 20 minutes.

By participating in this event, our hope is that we will soon hear “Your child no longer has autism.”

We are participating in this wonderful walk for the third year! Has it really been that long? It feels like a lifetime ago that Ryan was diagnosed, but it feels like he has come such a long way in a short amount of time.

Ryan is thriving at Partners In Excellence, and although he still faces many challenges this next year, we know that he is working hard everyday. Ryan is such a loving, social, and happy child. He and his sister, Sara, reminds us everyday that God is good.

We know that this is not the best economic time, but even the smallest donation helps. We see first hand the difference your money makes everyday in these kids lives. It's amazing.
