Join me and my daughter, Samantha in our efforts to support Walk Now for Autism!

Samantha loves dresses, high heals, flavored lip gloss, curly hair, and one particular Jonas Brother. She sees everyone not as a stranger but, as a potential friend. She wakes everyday thinking today will be different, today the world will be easier for her. But unfortunatley, it is not. She needs a very structured routine and schedule, help staying focused on tasks, with social cues and interactions and, with processing language as it is spoken to her. Her day is filled with confusing and frustrating moments that have left her with severe anxiety. Her worries are so big she cries most days, has stomaches and can not sleep at night. She needs help coping with her feelings, speaking fluently with others, keeping up with school work and interacting with others in social environments.
She is only one of millions of individuals with Autism that struggle each day. Behind each of these individuals are families desperate for help and guidance and understanding. Walk for Autism Now is a united effort to help individuals like Samantha and their families find emotional, physical and financial support for their loved ones.
